Ann Anders
Montessori Lead Teacher & Montessori Co-Director
Ann Anders has worked as a Montessori educator for the past 30 years in the Washington, D.C. area and recently relocated to Telluride. She received her training in Primary Education from the Washington Montessori Institute after graduating from Bates College with a degree in Anthropology. Ann was drawn to the Montessori method and its emphasis on educating the whole child - socially, emotionally, and academically. She believes learning should be a natural process which leads to curiosity and a love of discovery and exploration. Additional studies in positive discipline, social-emotional development, sensory integration, and spatial intelligence have enhanced her understanding of young children. When not in the classroom, Ann enjoys traveling, running, skiing, and hiking beautiful mountains throughout the world. She loves spending time with children as their natural curiosity and spirit of love are revitalizing and contagious.
