Ben joined Telluride Mountain School community in 2016. Since joining Telluride Mountain School, Ben has worked in the Math and Science departments in 3rd through 6th grades. In addition to classroom teaching, Ben has been directing the winter sports program at TMS since 2017. Ben’s main contribution to this program has been the creation of the Freeride Committee for 7th-12th grade students. This program brings avalanche education front and center throughout the winter season. It is the lens TMS students use to make terrain choices both on and off piste. When Ben is not at TMS you can find him on a mountaintop or in a river valley connecting with nature.
