Jamie’s adventures bug began in the San Juan Islands where she grew up sea kayaking. After moving to the mainland, she took off running up mountains and down rivers. She studied Sports Medicine at Colorado State University while teaching and facilitating at The Outdoor Adventure Program and High Ropes Course in Fort Collins, CO. Received her BA in Experiential Education at Prescott College and has two degrees in Communications and Marketing. Jamie has worked with many non-profits including The Mountainfilm Festival, The Ah Haa School, The Telluride Academy and The Telluride Film Festival.
She has worked in marketing, graphic design and multi-media for over 15 years and as an adventure videographer for local and national television stations as well as assisting photographers and filmmakers on documentaries.
Jamie lives with her husband and son in Telluride, which has stood as her base camp since 2001. Jamie expresses, “The community here is incredible and adventure is right out our door. I am always pursuing professional development in experiential education and multi-media communications and am ecstatic to be working with a school that has similar philosophies!”
