Craig Wasserman is the Telluride Mountain School Dean of Students and Upper School Art Department Head. He was born, grew up and graduated high school in St. Louis, MO. Craig earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Studio Printmaking and a K-12 Art Teaching Licensure through Lehigh University in PA and Colorado State University. Upon finishing his student teaching semester on the Southern Ute Native American Reservation in Ignacio, CO, he moved to Telluride. He taught for three years at the Telluride Public Middle/High School, developing curriculum as the Art and Theatre Department Head. In 2002 he began working at TMS, enthusiastically teaching art, developing and leading experiential trips and snowboard coaching in the winter sports program. Outside the school, he continues to work with the Ah Haa Art School, the Mudd Butts Theatre Program, and the Youth Link Youth Center in developing new ways to interact with, learn from, and educate the Telluride youth. During the summer season Craig is either traveling the globe, creating personal art, or directing the Telluride Skateboard Camp.
