Originally from North Texas, Jordan ventured to Colorado in 2009 to attend Colorado State University where she received a Bachelor of Science in Human Development and Family studies and a minor in Spanish.
After college Jordan worked in various camp and academic settings including a position teaching at a Reggio Emilia preschool in Vail, Colorado and as a counselor at a traditional skill based camp in Northern Minnesota. Deepening her love for the outdoors and validating her passion for education Jordan moved to Denver to pursue her Kindergarten through 6th grade teaching license.
Student teaching with the Stanley British Primary School Teacher Preparation Program, Jordan had the opportunity to work in both the public and private spheres under two mentor teachers. This opportunity enlightened her practice and helped determine her niche as an Early Childhood educator. Jordan is completing her Masters in Education and Human Development with a concentration in Early Literacy from the University of Colorado at Denver. As she takes on the new role as 1/2 classroom teacher at TMS she is looking forward to getting to know each of her students and their families through a holistic lens.
When Jordan is not teaching you can find her spending time with family and friends while enjoying the beautiful Colorado wilderness through skiing, hiking, camping and yoga.
