Keaton McCargo – Class of 2013

Keaton McCargo on winning the 2016 National Freestyle Championships
“I really put together my run. I was consistent in qualifying and finals and I decided to give it my all on these last runs of the season. I made a good line choice and kept to the corner of the moguls to stay smooth in the middle section.

I’m not going to lie, this season was difficult. I struggled with nerves on the World Cup and I didn’t ski my best. I would mess up one jump or something and I always felt like something was missing from the equation. It was really nice to put it all together at the end of the season.

All the younger girls are really pushing everybody, especially me and a lot of the older girls. There here to kick our butts, so I have to make sure I’m challenging myself so I can keep up with them.”10377_1163753570315196_3461168136058180096_n

Lane Stoltzner – Class of 2009

on making the podium at the National Freestyle Championships

“It was awesome to be able to show everyone, literally our whole sport, what I’ve been working on,” Stoltzner said. “It really has been paying off.”

“I just wanted to go fast and go big,” she said. “I was really happy with my run, and the score reflected that.”
